Axtell had the lead early in the second set with a lead as large as three at one point. However, Centralia went on a seven-point run to pull away from the Eagles and win the match in two sets. Oen Deters, Josie Haverkamp and Marissa Broxterman were among those who stood out in the match.

Doniphan West dominated set number one with the Mustangs leading wire-to-wire. Katie Johnson, Taygen Reno and Malaina Whetstine were dominant up front getting kills left and right guiding them to an opening set victory 25-11.

The Mustangs continued that momentum with a hot start in the second set. However, the Eagles maintained their composure and rallied back to make it tight for the majority of the set. The Mustangs were able to finish off the Eagles despite a late rally by Axtell to make it a tight 25-22 finish.
