KSHSAA has released their regional cross country assignements for 2023. The meets will take place on Saturday, October 21st. 

Three teams will qualify per regional plus the top 10 runners, and the possibility of additional individual qualifiers. Also, four regional meets per classification. 

Atchison and Holton will be competing at a Class 4A meet hosted by Shawnee Mission Northwest at Johnson County Community College. 

Sabetha will be hosting a Class 3A meet at Sabetha golf course. Area teams competing at that meet are ACCHS, Hiawatha, Royal Valley, Marysville, Jefferson West, Perry-Lecompton, and Nemaha Central.

The remaining field in Sabetha will be Bishop Ward, Minneapolis, Riley County, Rossville, Silver Lake, St. Marys, and Hayden. 

Sabetha will also be hosting a meet in Class 1A. Area teams competing in that meet are Axtell, Centralia, Clifton-Clyde, Frankfort, Hanover, Doniphan West, Linn, Onaga, Blue Valley-Randolph, Troy, Washington County. 

Area squads running at the Class 2A meet in Council Grove at Canning Creek Cove are Maur Hill-Mount Academy, Valley Heights, Pleasant Ridge, Jackson Heights, Horton, McLouth, Oskaloosa, Valley Falls, Riverside, and Jefferson County North. 

The remaining field in Council Grove will be Wabaunsee, Chase County, Mission Valley, Herington, Hillsboro, and Marion.
