The Perry-Lecompton volleyball team won the West Franklin tournament on Saturday winning all five of their matches. 

They only had one match go to three sets and that was against Paola (25-22, 15-25, 25-19). 

They also posted wins over Anderson County (25-19, 25-20), Osawatamie (25-9, 25-13), West Franklin (25-20, 25-9), and Maranatha (25-20, 25-14). 

"We had ups and downs all day but we were able to come back in each match and beat some good teams," said Kaws head coach Kyle Billings. 

Billings also noted that everyone on the squad contributed to the teams success but mentioned Kyndol Gray and Taylor Damme as two important pieces. 

Damme entered the tournament on Saturday after surpassing 1,000 career kills earlier in the week against Sabetha in league play. 

The Kaws are 13-5 overall and they're just a half game back of Nemaha Central in the Big 7 league standings.
