Sub-District tournament action gets underway for Nebraska High School Girls basketball teams on Monday February 11th. Classes C-1, C-2, D-1 and D-2 will begin play to qualify for state tournament.
The Class D-2 #4 ranked Falls City Sacred Heart girls are seeded first in Class D2 sub-district 1. Tournament action will begin Tuesday night at Beatrice High School when the Irish take on 4th seed Parkview Christian from Lincoln at 5:45 p-m.
The Irish are 20-3 on the year and have won 15 straight. You can hear the game live on A-M 1230, KTNC. #3 seed Lewiston will play #2 seed Sterling at 7:30 Tuesday night.
In Class C1 sub-district 1 action at Johnson Monday, #4 seed Auburn will take on 5th seed Conestoga. The winner will advance to Tuesday night action against top seed Syracuse at 6 p-m. If Auburn wins Monday you can hear their game Tuesday on SUNNY 101.3. Louisville is the #2 seed and will take on 3rd seed Falls City Tuesday night at Johnson at 7:30 p-m. The Tigers game will be on SUNNY 101.3.
In Class C2 Sub-district 1 action at Syracuse Middle School Tuesday top seed Weeping Water will take on #4 seed HTRS at 6 p-m. 3rd seed Johnson County Central will play #2 seed Palmyra at 7:45 p-m.
In Class D1 Sub-District 1 tournament play Pawnee City and Johnson-Brock will square off Monday night at 7 p-m at Wilber. The winning team will advance to a Tuesday game against top seed Friend at 6 p-m. #2 seed Diller-Odell will take on #3 seed Lourdes Central Catholic Tuesday night at 6 p-m.
Boys Sub-District play begins February 18th.
