KWCA Releases Their Newest Poll Ahead of Girls' Regional Meets on Saturday

The Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association has released their latest poll ahead of the girls’ regional meets on Saturday, February 11th. The boys’ regionals are the following Saturday.

The Oskaloosa girls’ team checks in to the rankings ranked eighth in the 4-1A rankings.

Oskaloosa sophomore Holly Thacher once again is ranked atop of the rankings in the 105-weight class. She is also first in the all-class rankings as well. Senior Allison King is first in the 155-class and second in the all-class rankings.

Anna Patz, a junior from McLouth, is ranked #2 in the state in the 130-pound weight class this week. She is ranked #6 in the all-class rankings.

ACCHS junior Hannah Simmers checks into the poll ranked fifth in the 170-pound weight class.

In the 3-2-1A boys’ rankings, Sabetha is up to #2 in the state in the team rankings with six individuals ranked this week.

Junior Colin Menold is ranked second in the 138-pound class. Junior Cole Hinton is #6 in the 144-pound weight class. Senior Kellan Spielman is #5 in the 150-pound class. Senior Jonathan Renyer is ranked second in the 157-weight class and is #10 in the all-class rankings. Senior Josh Hermann is also second in the 175-pound weight class. And junior Joshua Grimm is another Blujay ranked #2 in the 285-pound class.

Nemaha Central junior Keaton Rottinghaus checks into the rankings at #6 in the 106-pound weight class this week.

ACCHS has a trio of wrestlers ranked including junior Adler Koontz at #5 in the 126-pound class. Sophomore Easton Schletzbaum is ranked sixth in the 150-pound class. And Senior Bricen Lee is #4 in the 165-pound weight class.

Junior Landon Koelling is the lone Onaga Buffalo ranked this week at #6 in the 132-pound weight class.

Oskaloosa sophomore Colsen Perry is #5 in the 215-pound class in the newest rankings.
