The ACCHS girls basketball team secured the Jefferson County North Tournament Championship by beating Perry Lecompton on Saturday 60-35. 

ACCHS jumped out to a 16-9 lead at the end of the first quarter and built that up to 30-17 at halftime and it was more than enough to secure the win and the mid-season tournament title. 

Natalie Nitz led the Tigers in the championship game as she led all scorers with 20 points. They also got 12 points each from Aleah Wallisch and Kinzee Bauerle. 

Perry Lecompton got 14 points from Brooke Metcalf and was the only player for the Kaws in double figures. 

The Tigers (12-0) stay perfect and were up to #6 last week in the 3A rankings from the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association. 

They also got wins over Atchison and Rossville on their way to the tournament championship. 

The Kaws (6-7) got the title game with wins over Jefferson County North in the first round and Northeast in the semi-finals.
