The latest high school basketball ratings in the Lincoln Journal Star find a number of area teams ranked in the top 10 in their class.
In Class C-1 the Falls City Tiger boys are ranked 7th with a 17-2 record.  Lincoln Christian, a team in the same district as Falls City is ranked 9th at 9-5.
Wahoo is number one in C1 boys ratings with a 17-0 record.
In Class D2 Falls City Sacred Heart is back on top in the Lincoln paper with a 16-3 record. Giltner drops a spot to second at 14-3, Sterling is ranked 7th.  Lewiston and Parkview Christian, both in the same sub-district with sub-district with Sacred Heart and Sterling are contenders to be in the ratings.
In Class C2 Johnson County Central at 16-1 are ranked third, Freeman at 16-2 is ranked 5th and Yutan who will host Johnson County Central on February 8th is ranked 6th this week at 14-3.
In Class D1 Pawnee City is ranked 5th at 15-3 and Bruning-Davenport-Shickley, a team in the same District at Pawnee City is ranked 6th at 15-3.
Falls City Sacred Heart is the top ranked girls team in the area in at number six with a 16-3 record.  Sterling is 15-4 and ranked 10th, Deshler a team in the west half of the district with Sacred Heart and Sterling is ranked 5th at 16-1 on the season. 
In Class D1 Friend is 5th with a 13-2 mark.  Friend is a member of the Pioneer Conference.
