Kansas men's head basketball coach Bill Self has been suspended by the university for the first four games this season from an NCAA investigation that began in 2017.
Assistant coach Kurtis Townsend has been suspended as well. They also lose three scholarships to be distributed over the next three seasons.
This also includes a reduction of four official visits during the 2023-24 academic year.
According to sources, assistant Norm Roberts will take over as the interim head coach.
They will miss games against Omaha, North Dakota State, Duke (in Indianapolis) and Southern Utah.
Self will be able to return for their tournament in the Bahamas during Thanksgiving weekend.
