Sabetha hosted a cross country invite yesterday with Marysville winning the boys’ meet and Baldwin won the girls’ meet.

Nemaha Central got second place for the boys and third place for the girls. Also in the boys’ meet, Sabetha finished fifth, Jefferson West finished sixth, St. Mary’s finished seventh and Jackson Heights finished eighth out of eight teams.

For the girls’ meet, Doniphan West finished fourth, Marysville finished fifth, Sabetha finished sixth and Jackson Heights finished seventh out of seven teams.

Individually, Marysville’s Silas Miller won the boys’ meet with a time of 16:40. Nemaha Central’s John Langill ran for a time of 17:12 which was good enough for second place. Thirty seconds behind him was Sabetha’s Charlie Lukert 17:42 who finished third with his teammate Kalvin Evans finishing fourth at 18:01.

Individually for the girls’ meet, Marysville’s Brynn O’Neill finished third with a time of 21:58. Claire Cole from Doniphan West finished fourth with a time of 22:02. Nemaha Central’s Maddy Mosteller placed fifth with a time of 22:10.
