Frankfort got their first win of the season in dominant fashion, defeating Doniphan West at home by a final score of 54-6.

The Wildcats got the first score of the game with a 12-yard touchdown pass from freshman quarterback Wes Anderson to sophomore wide receiver Trent Hardin. Frankfort continued their hot start with a 63-yard touchdown run by junior running back Brock Armstrong to go up 16-0.

Doniphan West followed that up with their first and only score of the game. Senior quarterback Braden Simmons connected with his sophomore running back Kelby Windmeyer for an 18-yard touchdown but failed on the two-point conversion to keep it a two-possession game.

The Wildcats bounced back, however, with sophomore wide receiver Lane Loiseau getting an eight-yard touchdown on a pop pass from Anderson with 2:12 left in the second quarter.

Doniphan West had one more chance to score, but they instead decided to punt on a 2nd & 4 with 1:42 left.

Frankfort was able to take advantage of the free gift with a 56-yard run by Armstrong to get them in the redzone. A penalty would back them outside the redzone, but Hardin got his second touchdown reception of the game from the 29-yard line with 0:29 left.

The Wildcats continued to lay it on thick with three more touchdowns by Loiseau, Armstrong, and freshman running back Keagyn Willard to put the game away early in the fourth quarter.

Anderson was 11-for-19 on his day with 122 yards and four touchdowns. Armstrong had 16 carries for 271 rushing yards and two scores. Loiseau had six catches for 60 yards and two touchdowns, and Hardin had three catches for 45 yards and two touchdowns.

Anderson improves to 1-3 and more importantly gets their first win in district play. Doniphan West falls to 1-3 and starts district play 0-1.
