Holton Girls & Hiawatha Boys Cross Country Win Hiawatha Invitational

The Holton girls and Hiawatha boys won the Hiawatha Cross Country Invitational on Thursday (9/15). 

Girls: Holton finished in first place with 43 points with Doniphan West second place, Sabetha third place, and Hiawatha fourth place. 

The top finisher for the Wildcats was Eva Cortes who finished in 14th place with four other members placing between 19th and 23rd place. 

Notable top finishers included Royal Valley's Cheyenne Hittle who finished second place while Maddy Mosteller of Nemaha Central finished in third place. 

Boys: Hiawatha finished in first place with 38 points with Nemaha Central in second place, Royal Valley third place, Holton fourth place, and Sabetha fifth place. 

The Redhawks top finishers included Camden Bachman and Felix McCartney who finished second and third place respectively. Jordan Hodge was also in the top 10 with a seventh place finish. 

Nemaha Central's John Langill won the event while Sabetha also had two in the top five with Charlie Lukert (4th) and Kalvin Evans (5th).
