The Onaga 2022 Cross Country Meet was yesterday, and St. Mary’s Academy’s boys’ team won the meet with Axtell finishing second and Rock Creek placing third. The Rossville girls’ team won the meet with 28 points, Frankfort finished second and Clifton-Clyde finished third.

Axtell junior Grady Buessing won the Boys’ Varsity 5K with a time of 17:52. Wetmore freshman Kristopher Fulkerson finished third at 19:01. Garrison Sand, a sophomore from Washington County, finished 7th with a time of 19:32.

Washington County sophomore McKenzie Baker placed 3rd in the Girls’ Varsity 5K with a time of 22:56. Right behind her was Linn senior Claire Beikmann finishing with a time of 23:46. Frankfort teammates Hattie Gros and Holland Shirley placed fifth and sixth respectively.
