The Hiawatha cross country teams had a nice weekend at the Silver Lake meet on Saturday. 

The boys placed first out of eight teams competing. Varsity runners are Riley Gibbs (19th), Camden Thonen (26th), Aden Geisendorf (13th), Camden Bachman (2nd), Felix McCartney (4th), Jordan Hodge (8th), and David Keo (14th).

The Royal Valley boys finished in fourth place with Jaemon Smith leading the way for the Panthers with a fifth place finish. Quinton Nelson finished ninth while Kyle Riley finished in 17th place. 

The Hiawatha girls place fifth with their top finisher being Maizie Hageman who finished in 16th place.
