Big 7 All-League Baseball and Softball Teams Released for 2022 Season

The Big 7 League has released their All-League teams for the baseball and softball seasons for 2022. 

Royal Valley won the Big 7 baseball title this season and posted three on the All-League team. Pitcher Preston Golden, Infielder Kendon Wege, and Utility Brady Klotz. 

Other pitchers on the All-League team include Perry Lecompton's Evan Gottstein and Devin Watkins of Jefferson West. 

Outfielders included Sabetha's Marcus Bauman, Perry Lecompton's Reichen Rush, and Hiawatha's Ashton Rockey. 

Other infielders included Kaden Stones of Jefferson West, Nemaha Central's Brayden Uphaus, Holton's Matt Lierz, and Sabetha's Christian McAfee. 

Sabetha's Josh Herrmann was the All-League catcher and Jonathan Renyer was the other utility player on the All-League team. 

Honorable mention selections included Holton's Carson Adkins and Royal Valley's Preston Golden as an infielder. 

Perry Lecompton added three to the Honorable Mention list with Ty Williams, Gunnar Ball, and Eli Dean.

The Holton Wildcats took home the Big 7 League softball title in 2022 as they were perfect in league play at 14-0 but their season was cut short in a Regional Title game. 

Holton's All-League selections included pitcher Sadie Walker, outfielder Gracie Gallagher, infielder Brooke Flewelling, catcher Timber Wilson, and utility Staci Bond. 

Nemaha Central's Reagan Gerety was the other All-League pitcher selected. The Thunder also added Hailey Wurtz as All-League at catcher. 

Other outfielders included Royal Valley's Karlie Albright and Perry Lecompton's Taylor Damme. 

Infield selections included Taryn Ganstrom of Nemaha Central, Mallory Young of Jefferson West, and Perry Lecompton's Gracie Gonzales. 

Sabetha's Alexia Hayden was also All-League as a utility player. 

Honorable Mention Selections: 

Pitchers: Addison Garrett (Jeff West), Gracie Gallagher (Holton), Eryn Vaugh (Perry Lecompton)

Outfielders: Lakyn Leupold (Hiawatha), Kierstyn Sutton (Jeff West), Mya Ganstrom (Nemaha Central), Samantha Klotz (Royal Valley), Erin Boltz (Sabetha)

Infielders: Samantha Nordhus (Nemaha Central), Mikenna Haverkamp (Sabetha)

Catcher: Andrea Clements (Royal Valley) 

Utility/DH: Halle Studer (Riverside), Kennedy Bryan (Royal Valley)
