Sabetha Travels to Nebraska and Dominates Doniphan

 After a District game against the Tigers of Jeff West was canceled for the Sabetha Bluejays, they made a 3 and 1/2 tripto Doniphan (Nebraska).

Even after a long trip to the middle of Nebraska, the Bluejays were ready to roll as the would go on to win the matchup between the two different states, 41-18.

On Sabetha's first drive of the game, Kaden Edelman would find the endzone from three yards out to put the Bluejays on top, 6-0.

The Cardinals would strike back with a 60-yard touchdown pass to make it 6-6.

Drew Schmelzle would get his first score of the night, after going in from 20 yards out to make it, 14-6.

On the Cardinals 3rd drive they would look to the passing game again, however Drew Schmelzle would get an interception, and the Bluejays would then take just three plays before Kaden Edelman once again got into the endzone from four yards out, 21-6.

Drew Schmezle would then get his second score of the game from one yard out to make the score, 28-6.

Before the halftime break the Bluejays would get yet another touchdown as Drew Schmelzle would throw a 24-yard pass to Nik Niehues to make it 35-6.

At the start of the second half the Bluejays would score quick, as on the very first play, Drew Schmelzle would take it 55 yards to the house for his third rushing touchdown putting Sabetha up 41-6.

Doniphan would then get their second score of the game on a 26-yard touchdown pass to make it, 41-12.

The last score of the night would go to the Cardinals of Doniphan as they would get a 1-yard touchdown run to make the score, 41-18.

The Bluejays were led on the ground by Drew Schmelzle who rushed for 117 yards and three touchdowns while throwing for 24 yard and 1 TD as well.

Kaden Edelman ran for 41 yards and two touchdowns on the night while Josh Hermann ran for 88 yards in the win as well for the Bluejays.

Sabetha picks up their fourth win on the season and will go into the final week of district play looking to finish the regular season strong traveling to Hiawatha for a matchup with the Redhawks.
