MH-MA's Siebenmorgen Added to Kansas Shrine Bowl Game

The Kansas Shrine Bowl Board of Directors would like to announce the latest updated roster for the 2020 game, taking place Saturday, July 18 th at Yager Stadium at Moore Bowl on the campus of Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. Due to college commitments some players were unable to either accept their initial invitation or fulfill their commitment this year. “Every year we have some changes after our original selections are made,” said B.J. Harris, Executive Director of the Kansas Shrine Bowl. “Fortunately for us, Kansas is blessed with a wealth of talented players and these guys are certainly ready to play in our game; this is going to be a great game.”

The 2020 East Squad has added four new players including Garrett Harding, Louisburg; Sloan Hayden, Eudora; Abe Siebenmorgen, Maur Hill-Mount Academy; and Riley Wagner, Emporia. The 2020 West Squad has added two new players including Jordan Finnesy, Plainville and Eyann Zimmerman, Republic County.

Along with Siebenmorgen, he will be joined on the East sqaud by Nemaha Central’s Bryce Uphaus and Centralia’s Kamble Haverkamp who each claimed state championships in their respective classifications this season.

Along with Uphaus three other Big 7 League teams had guys selected to the game in Sabetha’s Gabe Garber, Perry Lecompton’s Grant Roush and Jeff West’s Kauli Saili.

The final two selections were from Axtell and Jackson Heights as the Eagles had Quinn Buessing earn a spot while the Cobras senior lineman Carson Williams was selected to play as well.

Marysville added one selection with running back Atreyau Hornbeak earning an all-star game nod. 

All Shrine Bowl events are produced and presented to benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children [SHC]. SHC is a health care system of 22 hospitals dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing pediatric specialty care, innovative research, and outstanding teaching programs for medical professionals. Children up to the age of 18 are eligible for care and receive all services in a family-centered environment, regardless of the patients' ability to pay. The 47th Annual Kansas Shrine Bowl will be played Saturday, July 18th at Yager Stadium at Moore Bowl on the campus of Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. Kickoff will be at 7:00 pm.
