Big 7 All-League Football Teams Announced

2019 Big 7 All-League Football – Selections

It was another highly competitive season in the Big 7 League and despite two teams still being alive in the high school football postseason the league has released its all-league teams for the year.

The league title was shared this season by Jeff West and Sabetha with the Tigers earning their first ever league title and seven guys onto the first team.

Jeff West had Kauli Saili and Pene Saili each earn first team spot on both offense and defense while Tigers added Bryce Clements at running back, Danny Saili on the offensive line, Brayden Abrams at outside linebacker, Joe Anderson at defensive back and Quinn Nuenswander at punter.

Sabetha finished in that tie with Jeff West and earned eight guys onto the first team with Gabe Garber and Carson Ukele each being named first team selections on both sides of the ball. Those two were joined by Andrew Frazee at running back, Drew Schmelzle at tight end, Walker Lowdermilk on the offensive line, Linus Krauss at kicker, Colby Tinklin at outside linebacker and Noah Nonnast at defensive back.

The third spot in the league belonged to the Holton Wildcats who were 4-2 in the Big 7 League earning five guys onto the first team in Konnor Tannahill at running back and defensive line, Jordan Huntington on the offensive line, Canon Karn at outside linebacker, Trey Wright at inside linebacker and Taygen Fletcher at defensive back.

On of the Big 7 League teams still alive is Perry Lecompton who has four guys earn first-team nods in Thad Metcalfe at defensive back and running back, Hayden Robb on the offensive line and Sean Urban on the defensive line.

Nemaha Central added three guys onto the first team led by Tyler Gerety at wide receiver and defensive back, Brad Schmitz on the defensive line and Bryce Uphaus at inside linebacker.

The final first team spot were rounded out by Royal Valley and Hiawatha as the Panthers had Komesh Spoonhunter on the offensive line while Michael Moreno of the Redhawks was named to the first team at wide receiver.
