Mound City Girls Qualify For State Cross Country Meet

The Mound City Girls are the Class 1, Distrit 8 Cross Country Champions.  The Panthers won the title Saturday at West Platte, Missouri.

Junior Kendey Eaton led the squad with a District Championship winning in a time of 21:17. Sophomore Joeigh Eaton was 4th in 23:01;  Adrienne Messer, sophomoe, placed 8th in 23:15;  Deanna Clayton a freshman was 11th in 23:25.  

Also competing for Mound City and qualifying for State was Jessica Johnson, Jocelyn Clayton and Lily Forehand.  All seven runners were in the top 30 individually. 

Destiny Klosek, a junior at  Tarkio placed 7th in 23:11 and will also travel to the State Meet. 

The State Cross Country Meet in Missouri takes place Saturday, November 8th at Jefferson City at the Oak Hills Golf Center at Hough Park.

Kendey Eaton will attempt to win a third medal at the State Meet.  She palced 7th as a freshman and 8th as a sophomore for the Panthers. 

Ken Eaton is the Head Coach of the Panther Cross Country team.
