The Missouri 8-Man Football Coaches Association will host its sixth annual Missouri 8-Man Football Senior All Star Game on Saturday, July 12th.  The game begins at 7 p-m at Patterson Field on the campus of William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri.

39 of the top 8-Man players in Missouri will report Thursday, July 10th for practice.

Coaches for the game are from the eight teams that qualified for the state playoffs in 2013.

Jonathan Schoonover of North Andrew will lead the Red Team, assisted by Mark Juhl of St. Joe Christian, Chris Healy of Worth County and Tyler Anderson of Southwest Ludlow.

The Blue squad Head Coach is Dan Collins who coached Stanberry last year. Collins lead the Bulldogs for more than 20 years but will no longer coach there.  His assistants will include Brian Messer of Mound City,  Ross Hastert of Rock Port and Kirk Thacker of Hardin-Central.

Players are drafted for the game and therefore some former high school teammates will compete against one another in the game.

Red Team members from area schools include Dayne Messer and Luke Sanders from Mound City.

Blue Team members from the area include Jayden McMahon, Ryan Oswald and Chandler Farmer from Rock Port;  Thomas Shifflett, Jake Meyer, Dalton Dreher and Josh Johnson from Mound City;  Nick Patterson from Nodaway-Holt;  and Dakota Wooten and Jordan Riley from Tarkio.

Gametime is 7 p-m Saturday evening.  The gates open at 5 p-m.  Admission is $7 per person.
