On Sunday Sabetha Post 126 welcomed Leavenworth legion team to town for a non-league doubleheader and behind a pair of complete game performances on the mound by Gaven Schumann and Jake Meyer earned the doubleheader sweep, winning 8-1 and 9-0.

In game one Schumann was dialed in on the mound only giving up four hits and a pair of walks to Leavenworth while striking out 13, while the offense backed him up with run support. Sabetha held just the 2-1 lead going into the bottom of the fifth, when things opened up and the Raptors scored five-runs in the inning to take a firm 7-1 lead. Sabetha added another in the six to go on for the 8-1 win.

Four guys finished the game with a pair of hits as Taylor Bauman, Adam Herl, Dustin Boeckman and Kyler Krebs each had a multi-hit game.

Game two was much of the same for Sabetha as Jake Meyer gave up just four hits and two walks in five innings for the complete game victory, as the Raptors won 9-0. It was a scoreless game going into the bottom of the third when Sabetha broke things open plating eight-runs as both Herl and Boeckman each had two hits in the third innings, alone. Herl and Boeckman each had a pair of RBI's to go along with their hits, while Zach Burger had a pair of RBI's as well.

With the sweep by Sabetha moved to 15-11 on the season and have won their last five games. The Raptors will be back on the diamond on Tuesday as they travel to Auburn with game time at 6:00pm.
