Area 8-Man Football Stars Help East Teams Win All-Star Matchups

The Twin Valley League continued to make their impact this year in athletics this time as area 8-man football stars contributed to the East squads winning each of the 8-Man All-Star in Beloit on Saturday at Trojan field.

Division II game was highlighted by several TVL players as B&B Falcon, Dustin Rottinghaus led the aerial attack of the East as they picked up the 52-41 win over the West. Rottinghaus finished the day 24-36 for 297 yards and six touchdowns, while rushing for 25 yards on six carries. Three of Rottinghaus six touchdown passes went to this fellow B&B Falcons as Blake Deters caught a pair of TD's on six receptions for 134 yards, while Cameron Haug caught a TD on seven receptions for 57 yards.

Frankfort Wildcat, Lucas Adams contributed for the East in the win posting 49 yards on the ground on 11 carries, while catching a pair of TD's from Rottinghaus on three receptions for 16 yards. Hanover's Kent Bruna had one reception for six yards in the win, while his teammate Brandon Jueneman played in the game along with Axtell Eagles, Derek Porting and Payton Heinen.

In the Division I game the East team snapped a five game losing streak to the West earning the 20-16 win. Linn Bulldongs, Brett Peters and John Bott along with Clifton-Clyde Eagles, Caleb Gelino and Austin Biggstaff all played for the East.
