Falls City Sacred Heart Grad to Play in Shrine Bowl

 (KLZA) -- Seventy high school graduated seniors from around Nebraska will play in the 56th Annual Nebraska Shrine Bowl. The game will be played at the Ron and Carol Cope Stadium at the University of Nebraska at Kearney on June 7, 2014, at 2 p.m. This will be the second consecutive year that the Shrine Bowl game will be played at Cope Stadium.

The Shrine Bowl festivities will begin Saturday, June 7, with a parade at 10 a.m. The parade route runs along Central Avenue starting at East Railroad Street.

Falls City Sacred Heart graduate Jarod Fiegener will be playing for the South Squad this year. 

Proceeds from Shrine Bowl ticket and merchandise sales benefit the Shriners Hospitals for Children. With 22 locations nationwide, Shriners Hospitals are on the cutting-edge of medical care and research.  Children receive all services in a family hospital.  These hospitals also provide world-class research and educational opportunities for medical professionals.
