Northeast Kansas League All-League Baseball Honors Announced

The first baseball season for the Northeast Kansas League is in the books and Valley Falls one the league title with an undefeated league record and just a one loss season.

The Dragons lead the All-League honors with six All-Leaguers and one honorable mention honoree after wrapping up the season 21-1. Gates Glassel and Ty Jobbins both earned All-League honors at pitcher, while Luke Burns and Elijah Clark earned the honors in the infield and Tyler Weishaar and Christopher Gast both in the outfield. Zac Allen picked up honorable mention honors at utility.

Maur Hill-Mount Academy had five players earn All-League honors and one earn honorable mention, also. Freshman, Noah Baniewicz was All-League at utility, while both Brian Scott and Jake Schmidt earned All-League in the outfield. Senior, Lane Fry grabbed All-League honors at catcher and Chase Behler notched the honor at pitcher. Mark McDermed earned honorable mention honors at infield for the Ravens.

Oskaloosa had a pair of All-League players as Bryce Stottlemire and Luis Rodriquez earned the honors at pitcher and infield. While four Bears players earned honorable mention All-League honors as Justin Sharp earned the honors at infield, Wyatt Hofstra in the outfield, Dalton VanHoutan at catcher and Colby Harris at pitcher.

Pleasant Ridge earned the lone other All-League spot as Logan McKinney grabbed the honors at infield, while two other Rams earned honorable mention honors. Brad Yonts and Jason Simonis were named honorable mention at infield and outfield, respectively.

McLouth had five honorable mention honorees with Jace Carlton at utility and infield, Jack Courtney at outfield and Wyatt Herman at infield. Immaculata had a pair of honorable mention honorees with Tanier Karigan and Jaxon Qualley earning the honors at pitcher and outfield, respectively.
