Falls City Teams 5th at Nebraska City Track Invite

(KTNC) -- Falls City girls and boys track teams finished 5th at the Nebraska City Invitational meet Tuesday.
Plattsmouth was the girls’ team champion with 181 points, with Maryville second (129), Nebraska City (59.5), Boys Town (59), Falls City (32), and Omaha Roncalli (27.5) in the team standings.
Maryville was the boys’ team champion, with 106 points. Plattsmouth had 89 points for second place, just ahead of Boys Town’s 88.5 points for third place. Then came Shenandoah (78.5), Falls City (60), Roncalli (38), and Nebraska City (36).
 Falls City had two event wins. Lee Huettner won the long jump with a distance of 20-feet, 2.5-inches, and the triple jump, with a distance of 41-feet, 10.5-inches.
 Zach Jordening cleared 6-feet to place second in the high jump.
 Falls City was second as well in both the 400 and 1600-meter relays.
 In the girls’ portion of the meet, Falls City’s top finish was second place in the 3200-meter relay.
