Football season has come to a close and in the Twin Valley League postseason honors have been handed out for the four 11-man teams in the league with All-League honors being given out.

It was a year that saw a state championship from one TVL team and an up and down season for the other three teams.

The Centralia-Wetmore Panthers capped off a season of perfection finishing 13-0 by winning the 2-1A State title in impressive fashion behind a 61-0 win over LaCrosse. The Panthers got it done on both sides of the ball all season outscoring teams 660-67 on the year while running the ball for 372.5 yards per game on the season including 532 yards in the State championship. The Panthers defense stonewalled opponents all year to 5.2 points per game and around 112 yards per game on the season.

Panthers had seven guys earn first team All-League offense and two more earn second team honors, while seven guys earned first team All-League defense and one more earned second team. JT Rosine led the way for the Panthers earning first team at quarterback and free safety, along with kicker, punter and returner. While, Andrew Beck, Sam Steinlage, Joey Ferron, Hunter Haufler and Devin Rempe all earned first team All-League on both defense and offense. Both, Brett Burdiek and Trevor Mars earned a first team honor and second team honor. For Burdiek he was named first team All-League on offense at tight end while earning second team at linebacker, while Mars earned first team at linebacker and second team at tailback. Cody Huerter and Darrian Turner each picked up second team honors at tight end and defensive back.

Both the Washington County Tigers and Valley Heights Mustangs battled throughout the season and each finished 4-5 on the season.

The Tigers finished 2-1 in TVL this year and three players earn first team All-League offense honors with three more notching second team honors and on defense a pair of players earned first team honors and another pair second team honors. Both Logan Kier and Zach Otott each earned first team on both offense and defense while Cole Thompson was the lone other Tiger with first team honors his coming at wideout. Andrew Tiemeyer, Konnor Penning and Nick L'Ecuyer each earned second team honors on offense, while Matt Bekemeyer and Brent Herrs earned second team All-league on defense.

For the Valley Heights Mustangs they went 3-3 in non-league action on the season and posted 62 points in the season finale win over Oskaloosa. Mustangs saw three players earn first team All-League offense honors with another earning second team, while three Mustangs earned first team defense honors, too. Lane Jorgenson, Derek Trimble and Cole Maddox all three earned first team honors on both offense and defense for the Mustangs, while Micah Kenworthy earned second team honors on offense.

The Onaga Buffalos in their first year under Coach Mike Wilhelm hit some stumbling blocks finishing 3-5 but put together building blocks for the future; Buffalos did close the season with a 51-26 win over Hertington. Two Buffalos earned second team All-League offense honors, while three guys earned second defense honors. Leading the way for Onaga was Michael Bliss this season and he earned second team honors on both offense and defense. Lane Minihan joined Bliss on with second team offense honors, while Tyler Murray and Caleb Fredrick each picked up second team honors on defense for Onaga.

Next year will feature plenty of change for the 11-Man portion of the TVL as Doniphan West and Troy will be added to the mix and some of the teams in Centralia-Wetmore and Washington County each move up to Class 3A starting next year, giving the TVL teams plenty of new challenges next year.
