With the league change not taking affect form football until next year for Riverside, ACCHS, Troy and Doniphan West to move to their new leagues after the disbandment of the Delaware Valley League, all four teams go together to give out All-League honors in football this year.

Of the four teams the Troy Trojans was the only to make the playoffs this season finishing their year 7-4, making it to the second round of the playoffs after beating McLouth 26-14 in the Class 2-1A first round of the playoffs. Trojans ended their season with a 37-8 loss to Lyndon in the Sectional round of the playoffs. Seven players earned All-League honors with three more honorable mention honorees.

On offense it was Derek Franken at runningback, Jake Ross at wideout and Jay Whetstine on the offensive line earning first team offense. While on defense Whetstine picked up defensive line honors, Nathan Gaarder and Alex Schmille joined him on the defense at defensive line and defensive back. For Gaarder he also earned first team honors at punter. Honorable mention honors were picked up by Colton Masters on defense and Collin Jasper and Tristan Speer on offense.

The Riverside Cyclones for the second straight year finished the season 7-2 but missed out on the playoffs after unable to get through district play. Plenty of guys had strong seasons for the Cyclones as 13 guys earned first team honors between the four former DVL teams.

Offensively, Andrae McGaughy was the maestro of the offense again this season and put up great numbers running and passing to lead Riverside at quarterback earning him first team honors, while Drew Hoffman earned the honor at runningback, Colton Munger at wideout and Alex Davidson at tight end each were honored with first team nod. Also Riverside Cyclone offensive lineman, Phoenix Keller and Zach Halter each registered first team honors. McGaughy, Halter and Davidson each picked up defensive first team honors, too at defensive back, linebacker and defensive line, respectively.

Britain Wendt and Garrett Booth both earned first team honors on the defensive line, also for the Cyclones, while Quenton Munger joined Halter at linebacker with the honors and Alex Schmille joined McGuaghy at defensive back. Colton Munger picked up honorable mention honors on defense along with his honors at wideout and both Quenton Munger and Booth were honorable mention on offense to go with their defensive first team honors.

For the ACCHS Tigers it was a struggle this season finishing off the year 3-6 as they prepare for the Big Seven league next year. Seven guys earned first team honors from the former DVL teams with four on offense and three on defense. Runningback, Scott Birkinsha help be one of the sparks on offense for the Tigers this season helping him to first team honors, while wideout, Jesse Noll, tight end, Levi Baker and Wagner at returner.

Defensively, Jake Handke, Ryan Vollmer and Kyle Chew each earned first team honors at defensive line, linebacker and defensive back, respectively. Baker and Birkinsha each picked up honorable mention honors on defense, while Chew added honorable mention on offense to his year.

The Doniphan West Mustangs had its fair share of struggles on the season finishing just 1-8 but were competitive in multiple contests this season. Three players earned first team honors as Justin Clark picked up the honors at tight end, Ian Bollinger at defensive back and Lane Spiker at kicker. Garrett Dunlap and Tynan Bollinger each earned honorable mention on defense and Wade Joyce and Cooper Leach registered honorable mention on offense.

Next year these four teams will see their football landscapes change as Doniphan West and Troy both head to the Twin Valley League and ACCHS and Riverside will each be in the Big Seven league.
