Sophomore Leads Mound City Cross Country Team at State

 The Mound City Girls Cross Country team competed at the State Championship Meet in Jefferson City on Saturday and finished in 11th place in the team competition.

Individually sophomore Kendey Eaton won her second state meet medal with an 8th place finish out of the 160 runners competing in the Class I girls division.  Eaton covered the distance in 21:04. Eaton placed 7th at state as a freshman. 

Also competing for Mound City was Mae Sanders, Adrienne Messer, Joeigh Eaton, Lily Grant, Janine Bludau and Jessica Johnson.
