Mound City Girls Qualify For State Cross Country

 Mound City sophomore Kendey Eaton won the Class I District 8 Cross Country meet this past Saturday.

Eaton and the entire girls team have qualified for the State meet coming up this Saturday, November 9th at Oak Hills Country Club in Jefferson City, Missouri.

The top two teams of up to 7 runners qualify to compete at State.  The Lady Panthers were second at the District.

Eaton ran a time of 21:43 to win the title.  Others qualifying are Adrienne Messer who placed 13th in 24:38. Senior Lily Grant was 20th in 25:32,  Freshman Joeigh Eaton was 23rd,  Senior Janine Bludau was 24th, Sophomores Jessica Johnson was 32nd and Sophomore Mae Sanders was 34th.
