For the second straight week Mother Nature played a factor in Northeast Kansas high school football, but it didn't stop the Centralia-Wetmore Panthers from continuing to click on all cylinders as they cruised past the ACCHS Tigers 48-0 to remain unbeaten on the season.

The game started off with a bang not from lighting but by the Centralia-Wetmore Panthers offense as they were into the endzone in just two plays scoring on a 61-yard run by fullback, Trevor Mars. The Panthers offense didn't stop there scoring a touchdown on their next three drives totaling 19 plays and 160 yards in that time frame to take a 27-0 early in the second quarter. Sam Steinlage and JT Rosine each added touchdown run and Mars scored his second of the game. With a 27-0 lead that is when lighting lit up the sky and forced the game to halt with 10:28 left in the second quarter.

After an hour plus delay the game resumed and the Centralia-Wetmore continued to score while their defense continued to shutdown ACCHS not allowing a Tiger first down until the third quarter. Panthers added two more rushing touchdowns before first half was over and lead it 42-0 going into the second half.

Panthers capped off their scoring with a touchdown drive with JV players in the fourth quarter as Jonathan Johnson ran it in from four-yards out for the score making it 48-0 after the failed two-point conversion.

Once again it was dominance both sides of the ball for Centralia-Wetmore rushing for over 400 yards, while the defense held the Tigers to under a 100 yards of offense in the contest, while forcing one turnover (a fumble recovered by Cody Huerter).

Offensively for the Panthers five different guys scored a rushing touchdown and eight different guys carried the ball on the night, with 10 carries going 11 yards or more on the night. Mars lead the scoring tallying three touchdowns on 98 yards, earning the Community National Bank "Player to Bank On" award on KMZA. While Rosine ran for 127 yards and a score, Darrian Turner posted 78 yards and touchdown and Steinlage and Johnson each had a score.

Centralia-Wetmore continues to roll as they head back into district play next week at Troy next week with their 6-0 record on the season. For the ACCHS Tigers they turn their attention to district play next week as they will play at Maur Hill-Mount Academy, in search of their third win of the season after falling to 2-4 with the loss at home.
