In the latest Kansas Volleyball Association rankings five area teams continue to find themselves ranked with not to much shake up as far as their respective rankings but some movement.

After having a pair of number one teams last week from the area. This week no team from the area is at number one, with three teams seeing a dip in their rankings and the other two staying firm in their spot from the previous week.

In Class 1A-Division, the B&B Falcons had been number one all season thus far but slipped to number two this week with Argonia taking over the top spot. The Falcons are 10-2 on the season with a pair of leagues win back on this past Tuesday in their most recent action, while also taking second place at the Nemaha Valley Invite back on Saturday, suffering their second loss of the season in the championship game of the tournament. Falcons are a perfect 5-0 in Twin Valley league action.

Class 1A-Division II, continues to house another TVL team in the rankings as the lady Panthers of Centralia remained ranked third in the latest KVA rankings. Panthers stood fast in the third spot in the polls all season and are off to a 9-2 start this season, including a pair of league wins this past Tuesday to move them to a perfect 6-0 in league action.

Class 2A, is the only classification that touts a pair of area teams as Washington County and Jefferson County North both remained ranked this week. For the Tigers of Washington County they are off to a 9-2 start to the season and took home a pair of TVL wins this past Tuesday, on top of winning the Frankfort Invite over the weekend and remained ranked fourth in the latest poll. The Tigers losses this season have came at the hands of league teams in B&B and Centralia; as the Tigers are 3-2 in the TVL.

Jefferson County North lady Chargers were boosted to number last week but this week after a pair of losses at the Riley County Invite and some great play by Wabaunsee the Chargers fell to number three in the latest polls; Wabaunsee took over number one. Chargers did take home second play at the Riley County Invite and pick up a pair of league wins earlier this week to improve to 9-2 on the season and 6-0 in the Northeast Kansas League.

The Santa Fe Trail Chargers are the lone other area team ranked in the latest KVA rankings checking in at number seven this week, falling one spot this week. The Chargers despite falling in the rankings remained unbeaten on the season improving to 11-0 on the year with a pair of wins over Big Seven league foe, Perry Lecompton on Tuesday.

The area volleyball looks to continue to be strong despite the area ranked teams slipping in the poll this week the competition is heating up as the season continues.
