Auburn, Nebraska City, advance to Southern Division Title Game of SENBC Senior Tournament

(KTNC) -  Auburn and Nebraska City advanced to the Southern Division championship game of the SENBC Senior Legion Tournament with wins Wednesday evening in Falls City.
 Auburn used a big 6th inning to turn a pitchers duel in to a 7-0 victory over Falls City.  Auburn took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, when Tyler Collin singled with two outs, went to second on a wild pitch, then stole 3rd and stole home.
 The game remained 1-0 until the 6th, when Auburn sent 11 batters to the plate and scored six runs.  Nick Behrends reached when he was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning and he came home on a double by Collin.
 Then with two outs, six consecutive Auburn batters reached base on five singles and an error. 
 Behrends was the winning pitcher.  He threw a complete game, with seven strikeouts.  Falls City had six hits in the game.
 Lane Scheitel pitched 5.2 innings for Falls City and took the loss.
 Auburn will face Nebraska City in the Southern Division title game at 8:00 p.m. Friday.  Nebraska City cruised past Tecumseh in the first game Wednesday evening, 11-0 in five innings. 
 Falls City and Tecumseh will play in the 3rd place game at 6:00 p.m. Friday.  Both games will be played at SNC Field in Falls City.
 In the Northern Division games, at Syracuse, top-seed Plattsmouth defeated Syracuse, 3-2 and EMN Nationals defeated Wilmar Electric, 14-6. 
 The Division championship and 3rd place games will be played Friday evening, and the Conference final round games will be played Saturday in Falls City.
 
 The SENBC Junior Tournament continues tonight, with Southern Division games at Auburn and Northern Division games at Plattsmouth.  Southern Division games tonight have Nebraska City against Auburn in the 3rd place game at 6:00 and Falls City and Tecumseh in the championship game.
 Northern Division games have Plattsmouth against Teckmeyer Financial for 3rd place and Syracuse against EMN Nationals for the division title. 
 The final round games of the Junior tournament will be played Saturday in Tecumseh.
