Hiawatha Post 66

The Hiawatha Post 66 legion baseball team finished runner-up at the AA State Tournament in Concordia. 

They opened the tournament with a 6-4 win against Marysville and then followed that up with an 8-5 win against Smith County. 

The Braves would suffer their first loss of the tournament in the semifinals against Iola with that final score being 13-10. 

They would knock out Corning Post 216 with a 7-6 win to advance to the championship against Iola. 

Hiawatha took down Iola in the first game of the final day by a final score of 6-0 which forced a winner take all final game. 

Iola Post 15 would go on to defeat Hiawatha 10-3 in the finale as they won their third straight AA State Tournament championship. 

Hiawatha's summer concluded with an impressive record of 30-12.
