McLouth Softball

The McLouth softball team won their second consecutive Class 2-1A State Championship in Pratt last week.
The Bulldogs defeated Pratt-Skyline 15-0 in the first round, Inman 11-0 in the semifinals, and Cedar Vale/Dexter 6-0 in the Championship game.
They capped the incredible season with a 28-2 record, and they are a whopping 70-6 since the start of the 2022 season. Along with the back-to-back State Championships they have also won the last four NEKL titles.
Dani Lee, the reigning 2-1A Player of the Year, finished her junior season with 288 strikeouts inside the circle and 18 home runs. The 18 home runs tied a single season state record.
Head coach Ballard Patterson has tallied 342 career wins since 2006 and a near 90 win percentage. The Bulldogs seniors in 2024 were Elizabetha Subelka, Leighanna Patz, Marissa Caray, and Somer Wyatt.
