Griffin Weber

The 2019-20 high school basketball season has been a rough one for the Troy boys who going into last week had yet to pick up a victory on the year.

That all changed after a great week by sophomore Griffin Weber who led the Trojans to their first two victories of the season with wins over Onaga and Doniphan West.

In the Trojans 71-38 win over Onaga, Weber scored 18 points and recorded seven steals while shooting 6-of-11 from the field and a perfect 3 for 3 from the free throw line.

He added a 23-point in a 61-33 win over Doniphan West while adding five more steals and five assists on 3-of-6 shooting from 3-point land.

On the season Weber is averaging just under 15 points per game and has gone over 15 points four times while shooting 36 percent from three and 73 percent from the free throw line.

He is seeing his first varsity action of his young career after appearing in just three games a year ago scoring only three total points.

Weber will look to continue his strong sophomore campaign and lead a young Troy team to more victories and improve each and every week.
