Hiawatha Red Hawks picked up their first Big Seven League win since 2013 in topping Royal Valley on the road. The Red Hawks went into the half up 14-0 and added another score, while pitching the shutout for the first time since 2007. Jospeh Kunkel finished the night 5-8 for 189 yards with 3 TDs for Hiawatha, while Andrew Woods caught four passes for 180 yards and 3 TDs (both single game school records). Kunkel hit Woods for TD passes of 74, 14 and 52 yards, while Colin Sample added 56 yards rushing and registered 14 tackles on defense.
