Troy got an early field goal to take a 3-0 lead, but Jackson Heights grabbed an 8-3 halftime advantage and then went to their wishbone attack after losing starting quarterback Jason Bosely to an injury and reeled off 28 unanswered second-half points with several big rushing plays.
Alex Browning had 175 yards rushing and a pair of touchdown for the Cobras while Dylan Thompson added 100 yards and a score as JH ran for 453 total yards and Brantley Dohl added 91 yards on the ground and a TD.
The Trojans lost their leading tackler Keaton Neuman in the game and had Brayden Hamilton finish with 12 stops on defense. Cam Anderson was 15-32 for 143 yards passing to led the Troy offense while Jerrit Norris had five catches for 57 yards and 10 tackles on defense.
