Doniphan West built a 30-6 halftime lead behind three rushing touchdowns from Trent Spiker who also tossed a TD to Lafe Blevins. Yet, the Mustangs lost the turnover battle 3-0 and Worth County scored six of the next seven touchdowns in the second half to mount a furious comeback win. Spiker finished with 166 yards on 18 carries and was 6-19 passing for 142 with six total scores.
This game was scheduled less than two days before it was played after D-West found out their opponent (Blue Valley Randolph) was canceling before of a Covid team exposure.
