TVL Tournament (at Onaga) - Quarterfinals
Tight at the half Frankfort distanced themselves in the second finishing the game strong to earn the 52-35 win over Axtell. Frankfort ran out to a 8-0 but Axtell cut it to four with a 4-0 and at the end of the first quarter the Wildcats led 15-9. Axtell cut the lead to two in the second quarter but it was a 25-20 Frankfort lead at the half. The lead moved up to 29-20 at the start of the second half but Axtell went on an 8-0 spurt to draw within one at 29-28 with 3:51 remaining in the third. The Wildcats responded from the Axtell run finishing the third with a 10-1 run to lead 39-29. The lead grew in the fourth and Frankfort closed the game with a 13-6 fourth quarter to earn the win.
The win moves Frankfort to 10-1 and into the Semifinals, while Axtell fell to 4-6 and into the Consolation Semifinals. Kennen Brandt and Jessa Yaussi led Frankfort with 14 points each earning Community National Bank "Player to Bank On" honors on 92.1 KMZA. Emilee Ebert added 11 points for the Wildcats. Axtell was led by Kinsey Feldkamp who scored 10 points.
