Perry Lecompton continued to roll to start season working to a 14-0 lead after the 1st quarter and then outscored Troy 33-8 in the second quarter before cementing the game in their favor with a 20-0 3rd quarter. Dalton Kellum led the Kaws going 8-16 for 120 yards with 2 TDs (INT) and ran for 66 yards on 8 carries with 3 touchdowns. Joel Guess, Ty Packard and Hunter Hess each had TD each, while Colton Mallonee caught 4 passes for 60 yards with 2 TDs. Packard also snagged 2 INTs.
Troy was plagued by 7 turnovers. Kipp Jasper finished 12-26 for 83 yards and a touchdown (4 INTs), Jacob Moore had 9 carries for 86 yards with a 23-yard TD run, while Reid Jasper caught a TD pass and Tyson Williams ran for 13 times for 65 yards with a TD.
