Valley Heights led 21-6 at the half and cemented the game in their favor with a 24-0 third quarter against Troy. The Mustangs ran for 361 yards as a team led by Cole Coggins who ran for 165 yards on 9 carries with 3 TDs, while Jordan Yungeberg carried the ball 17 times for 88 yards and 2 TDs and Cameron Breadsley added a rushing TD. Tyler Wagner returned one of Troy's four fumbles 16-yards for a TD and the Mustangs also returned another 75-yards for a score.
Troy in the loss was hurt by 5 turnovers but did throw the ball for 364 yards with Kipp Jasper going 18-29 for 379 yards with 4 TDs (INT) and Reid Jasper catching 11 passes for 218 yards and 3 TDs. Tate Smith caught 4 passes 118 yards with a TD catch.
