TVL Tournament (at Washington County) - Championship

For the 12th time in the 21 year history of the Twin Valley League tournament the Centralia lady Panthers brought home the tournament Championship claiming the title over this year's host Washington County with a 61-50 win. It was the Tigers that pounced early in the game working out to a 13-5 lead through midway in the first quarter but Centralia mounted a 8-0 to tie the game with 1:15 in the first but the Panthers trailed 15-13 after one. Centralia snagged their first lead at 18-17 shortly into the second quarter and outscored Washington 11-2 over the first couple of minutes in the second quarter behind the hot hand of Katie Glatczak who netted 14 first half points. The Panthers went into the half up 27-24 and in the second half pushed the lead over the Tigers to double figures but Washington made runs to stay in the contest only to see the Panthers finish the game off.

Centralia was led by Glatczak who finished with 30 points hitting five three-pointers and going 5-6 from the line, while Cassidy Haufler posted 17 points, getting 14 in the second half. The duo of Glatczak and Haufler earned Community National Bank "Players to Bank On" honors on KMZA and helped Centralia move to 11-0 on the season and 3-0 at the tournament, winning their 34th consecutive game and 12th TVL tournament title, third-straight.
