Area Track Teams Compete at Rossville Invitational

Rossville Invitational – Results

Area track teams continued their seasons yesterday at the Rossville Invitational in a makeup from last Friday and the best finished came from the Jeff County North girls and Hiawatha boys.

The Chargers finished third as a team despite not having an event winner on the day, while Jackson Heights finished seventh with three wins.

For the Cobras Kanyon Olberding captured the 200-meter dash, while Amaya Marlatt won the 300-meter hurdles along with the javelin.

Hiawatha added two more wins with Kate Madsen capturing the 1600-meter run while Claire Geiger won the 100-meter hurdles.

Maur Hill-Mount Academy rounded out the girl’s side with one win as Scarlett Begley captured the high jump.

On the boy’s side the most event wins came from Jeff County North who had Caleb Worthington win the pole vault while he teamed up with Ryan Feldkamp, Ethan Noll and Isaac Kane to win the 4 by 400-meter relay and Trevor Pentlin to win the 4 by 800 relay.

Maur Hill-Mount Academy and Valley Falls rounded out event wins as the Ravens Joseph Hernandez won the 400-meter dash while the Dragons Nathan Hawk won the high jump.
