Jeff County North Leads Area Track Performances at Royal Valley

Royal Valley Invitational – Results

Area track and field teams were in action Tuesday night at the Royal Valley Invitational and the best team finishes came from Jeff County North who had the girls take first and the boys second.

The Charger girls captured the team crown despite just two first place finishes by Adie Manville in the high jump and the 4 by 400-meter relay team.

Sabetha finished third as a team and had six event winners led by Mary Lukert who won the 100 and 300-meter hurdles while she was also a par of the 4 by 400-meter relay team that took first. The Lady Jays 4 by 800-meter relay team also picked up a win while Olivia Saner won the pole vault and Leah Renyer the javelin.

Jackson Heights got a big day from Kanyon Olberding as she won three events taking first in the 200-meter dash along with the long jump and triple jump.

On the boy’s side Jeff County North finished second as a team with just one win as the 4 by 400-meter relay team of Landon Gutschenritter, Caleb Worthington, Ryan Feldkamp and Issac Kane took first.

Jackson Heights added three event wins by Daniel Little who won the 800, 1600 and 3200-meter runs.

Sabetha got just one win by Jonathan Renyer in the 300-meter hurdles while Royal Valley had Luke Boyden win the pole vault and Daniel Coleman the triple jump.
