Just two weeks remain in the high school football regular season and six area teams remain ranked in the newest set released Monday by Kpreps and the Cap Journal.
In Class 3A the Sabetha Bluejays at 5-1 continue to be ranked inside of the top five checking in this week at No. 4 after a solid 35-13 win over Holton last week.
The Class 1A rankings are unchanged from last week, with the Centralia Panthers still at No. 5 with a 5-1 record after a 58-19 beat down of Northern Heights Friday night.
In the 8-man DI rankings the Clifton-Clyde Eagles remain ranked fifth with a perfect 6-0 after shutting out Stockton last week 50-0.
The final three ranked area teams come in 8-man DII which saw the biggest shakeup with the Axtell Eagles the new No. 1 team in the state after a 28-26 win over previously No. 1 Hanover last week ending the Wildcats 43-game win streak. Hanover dropped just one spot despite the loss and is the No. 2 team in the state.
