The 2019 high school football season is officially set to get underway next week but teams will have a chance to get some of their first live action Friday night with jamborees to be held across the area.
The Kansas State High School Activities Association voted in April to allow jamborees which effectively takes the place of the team scrimmages typically held the Friday before week one.
Each jamboree is a full-contact scrimmage against two and possibly even three other opponents with specific rules for each jamboree. Teams are only allowed to run 36 offensive plays total, which equals to 12 plays against each team if it’s a four-team jamboree.
Below is a complete list of jamborees scheduled for Friday night.
