Class 2A Regional at Marion – Results

Behind five top 15 finishers the Valley Heights Mustangs claimed the Class 2A Marion regional Monday afternoon claiming the regional title by 28 strokes.

Brady Trimble led the Mustangs taking fifth place shooting a 101, while Wesley Denton and Carter Popejoy were seventh and eighth shooting a 109 and 114, respectively.

Valley Heights also had Hunter Chase shoot a 115 to take tenth, while Tyler Wagner rounded out state qualifiers shooting a 116 to take 11th.

The Horton Chargers also had one golfer qualify for the state meet, as Kyle Hammersmith shot a 123 to take 14th place.

Area state qualifiers now get set for the state meet Monday, May 20 which is scheduled to take place at Hesston Golf Park in Hesston.
