The 2018 high school volleyball season wrapped up a little over two weeks ago and with that postseason all-league honors have started to roll in. The Big 7 League announced their all-league teams last night and Royal Valley along with Nemaha Central were well-represented on the first team.

This year the league crown belonged to Royal Valley after a perfect 14-0 league record and the Panthers had four players earn first team honors. Senior Mary Broxterman and sophomore Ivy Fink were each unanimous first team selections, while sophomores Morgan Harvey and Emma McKinsey also made it on the first team.

Nemaha Central took second in the league with a 12-2 record and also earned four players on the first team, as seniors Riley Bontrager and Jacy Dalinghaus were unanimous selections while seniors Ashley Larkin and Ashley Hammes also made it to the first team.

The third spot in the league belonged to the Holton Lady Cats who finished 8-6 in league play with two players on the first team, as seniors Regan Baum and Josie Marriott earned honors.

Sabetha finished fourth in the league and also had two players earn honors with sophomore Minnie Schumann and senior Hillary Krebs taking home the awards.

The first team was rounded out by Perry Lecompton and Jeff West who each had one girl earn honors, as the Kaws had senior Talisa Stone and the Tigers senior Aaliyah Negonsott.
