Nine Area Athletes Named 2017-18 KBCA All-Academic All-State

The Kansas Basketball Coaches Association has given out their annual All-Academic All-State honors and nine area basketball players earned those honors this year as they succeed in the classroom along with playing basketball. 

To earn All-Academic All-State honors from the KBCA the players have to be sumbited to the KBCA by their coaches. The players must be in the upper 1/4 of their class after seven semesters, have a 25 or higher on the ACT and be a current member of the school's basketball team. 

Frankfort, Marysville and Nemaha Central all have multiple All-Academic All-State honorees from the KBCA. For Frankfort both Austin Hardwick and Kaci Vaughn earned the honors, while for Marysville Brennan Wetter and Bryson Meinhardt each pick up the honors and for Nemaha Central both Zachary Buessing and Camron Feldkamp each earned the honors. 

Mclouth's Ceara Funk, along with Sabetha's Brett Stallbaumer and Troy's Kassidy Ashworth all also earned All-Academic All-State honors by the KBCA.
