After a win in the opening round of the Class 4A-DI State tournament the Marysville girls looked to continue their momentum in the Semifinals but a strong second half by Andale sent the Bulldogs to a 48-38 loss and into the third place game on Saturday.

Marysville started the contest solidly with a 13-11 lead after the first quarter but at the half Andale had taken the lead behind a 12-8 second quarter to lead 24-21 at intermission. The second half belonged to Andale as they outscored Marysville 15-8 in third quarter and 25-17 overall to take the win by 10-points 48-38.

Sami Bartels led Marysville with a double-double notching 14 points and 15 rebounds but the loss moved Marysville to 18-5 on the season.

With the loss Marysville will vie for third place in the 4A-DI State tournament in Emporia and will face off against Hugoton at 12:00pm on Saturday, March 10th.
