It was a battle on the mats on Thursday night in the Big Seven League as Sabetha played host to Holton but it was the Wildcats ultimately walking away with the Dual victory winning 63-15. 

Eleven of the 14 weight classes featured matches between the two wrestling squads and Holton was able to capture wins in nine of the 11 matches wrestled. Eight of the wins for the Wildcats were earned by pinfall on the night with four coming in less than one minute. Kobly Roush (126lbs), Conner Gilliland (132lbs), Lawson Henry (138lbs) and Dylan Aeschliman (170lbs) earned pinfall wins in 52, 32, 58 and 46 seconds, respectively. Taygen Fletcher (120lbs) grab victory in 1:07 by pinfall, while Killian O'Connor (220lbs) won by pin in 1:36. Kyler Tannahill (285lbs) won his match by pin in 3:14 and Ace Eisenbarth (160lbs) also won by pin his win coming in 5:08. The lone win not pinfall by Holton was a tight 4-2 decision for Cael Jackson (152lbs) against Kamden Brownlee. 

Sabetha Bluejays on the night claimed two victories on the mats against Holton as Kaden Dillon won a tough 6-0 decision at 113lbs and Brandon Brownlee earned a pinfall win in 1:07 at 145lbs for the Bluejays. 

The wrestling season continues for Holton on Saturday, December 16th at the Ottawa Invite, while Sabetha heads into the break and will next be in action on Saturday, January 6th at the Rossville Invite.
